KOLA Competition Page

The KOLA competition consists of scoring "virtual points" with your peers by being able to get the best rides (staying upwind, good jumps, powered up, etc) in the lightest winds possible. You will be judged by your peers, so make sure to make a big stink about it when you're out there throwing up a spray, as your friends are forced to watch from the beach (not having a kite, board, or the guts big enough to be out that day).

Our local "god-father" of kitesurfing, Tim Grossnickle, has created a KOLA trophy from Oak and a Zero Gravity board. She's big, but she's worth it! Pictures coming soon of the trophy. Award to be given out after the LFD Challenge at the end of the season. (The LFD is the Lake-Front Downwinder Challenge where kitesurfers race downwind to the finish line).

Check out the KOLA Competition Standings in our messageboard for current status and information.
