Julien Wins KPWT Wave Masters

Vive La France! Slingshotýs French phenom Julien Sudrat dominated the surf to take the title at KPWTýs Wave Masters event in Cap Vert this week. The skate & surf specialist plowed the competition field that included Peter Trow, Hervý Bourý, and Sky Solbach, giving Sudrat the first big tour win of the season.

The conditions were perfect, consisting of steady, side-offshore winds, clean waves, and sunshine. Julien stole all the attention and the title on a Slingshot Fuel 7 and 9, attacking the waves with his animal-like style. Sudrat drove through the head to well-overhead conditions, with hard carving off the tops and surf-style roundhouse cutbacks. He mixed up his signature surf moves by sending it off the swells and going big.
 
Slingshot will be well-represented in France this season with a solid squadron of team riders participating in the upcoming Mondial du vent. The week-long event in April will host Slingshotýs top riders including Julien Sudrat, Fiona Wedenig, Ben Wilson, and Jeff Tobias.
