Montrose Now??! 6/15

Any 1st hand reports on if that 17kts E at the crib is coming in ok?!

Guess it never made it in to shore. Spotters said you could see the wind a few hundred meters out.

Was on a sailboat in Montrose Harbor yesterday. Saw a kite on land, not the best day to be flying.

It was tragic. Wind blowing a few hundred yards off shore, and wind blowing a block or two inland, but dead on the beach!

Sorry I couldn't respond. This happens all the time. Summer heat like this and I've seen 22knts+ on the buoy reading and boats leaning HARD near the crib and about 3knots when I'm standing on the pier....You need it to be cloudy OR have a storm coming in from the SW to suck that wind in. Otherwise just hope for a North wind day (usually later in the summer) or a very early morning SE flow will come and that makes for an amazing sunrise session.

Please note: Now is NOT the time to be learning or going out without your streamer. They kicked people off last year and will probably do it again this year. CHECK IN WITH THE GUARD!! If it's swimmable they usually won't let you go out for good reason.

Ah ha, thanks for the tips Adrien! And I would like to say that I am a proud owner of a shiney new blue streamer from windward boardshop, eagerly awaiting the next safe, lifeguard approved Montrose session. I look forward to preserving montrose access!

And I'm always down for a sunrise sesh, if anyone is headed out let me know!
