Any first hand reports on Montrose winds? See sky clearing up... are we good to go?

Found my old streamers and rode this morning alone at M with nary a lifeguard in sight. Winds gusting to 40.... Pretty wild. Have gotten spoiled riding in the Gulf around St. Pete on relatively smooth rollers. Had forgotten about the five way waves bouncing off the seawall on North winds. They dumped me a few times until I got back in the groove. Still ended up with a fun session on a too big 13m Peter Lynn foil. Hope the wind backs off this evening. Would love to get out again.
Regards,
Tim
