I am heading to Mount Bohemia next week and was curious if there was anywhere to kite up there? This is my first time there so I am pretty pumped. I'm planning on staying for 4 or 5 days so if I could swing kiteing one of those it would be spectacular.
Thanks
Jeff

Yes there are a few places to kite. First is the huge lake at the base of the mountain, Lac la belle. Works good on most winds but a north.
Lake Medora on the Road to Copper harbor is another option. Lastly is Portage lake near Houghton
I'd rather be Rollerblading

Plenty of places to ride up there. If you are at Bohemia just ask around to see if anyone kites, there is a group of 4-5 locals there that kite and have a bunch of spots. There is also a couple students at Michigan Tech that kite, but they don't have a website or anything to get in touch. I'm headin up there tonite to go snowboarding/ kiting tomorrow.

It was pretty nice up there again, a good 12" of new snow. Looks like next week they might get dumped on again.
