Waukegan 6/23 SSW 11a.m. to 4p.m.

Is anyone considering a possible Waukegan trip tomorrow? I was hoping to catch a session between 11a.m. and 4 p.m.

Don't have a car this weekend so I was thinking of renting one if I start getting alerts near the kitable wind zone. I am in Chicago near the airport (Norwood Park).

What is the parking situation at Waukegan during the summer?

They charge like $20-25 per car on the weekends.

SW is offshore at Waukegan....and not rideable.

Is it sketchy to kite SSW?

The more west it becomes the more unrideable.

Best Guess...

180 deg. ok
190 ok
200 degrees, it's starting to go offshore.
210.. 270 degrees...not rideable.

and if you're wondering Magnetic North is 3 degrees EAst of True North in this area. So it's close enough to use Magnetic or True readings.

S direction is usually underperforming in a summer at Keegs and once land heats up going offshore, but Kokura luck aka.storm blasting Chicago sure drop temperature enough to bump wind to 30(SSE) for two hours,I was teabagging on 11m and Ark was slightly more teabagging on 16m  ,I could ride 9m easy..It turned out to be quite a good day at the end.

Fyi.I haven seen so many beachgores, boats, jet skis in Waukegan ever and to my surprise everyone rigged up down of them, two brothers practising were way way down of all, rare perfect sight!
