Never been to Waukeegan before. I'd like to get out early tomorrow. How early are you thinking about going?

We will need to be there early, say 7:30 AM, I'm driving up from Naperville, so allow for any traffic weirdness...

Ok, I'm coming from Sycamore. I'm leaving at 5:30, so I should be there by 7:30 at the latest. I'm looking forward to meeting you guys tomorrow.

Nice to hear Waukeegan will be well attended. I was thinking Montrose but this all sounds highly motivating...

Yet another weak front, I knew we were doomed with it going East and no rain. We have waist to chest waves here, with the wind a holey 18-20

12 and surf board is my call for the morning
I'd rather be Rollerblading

Met west and evo at Zion north, frank scotello joined us. Hard to get out on 12m and twin tip with east straight onshore. Whole gang came up from Waukegan to try a downwinder, but gave up and went back to keegs. Frank and I finally made it out on 12 and 14m kites on surfboards and enjoyed some swells but not much more. Looks like it is lightening up now, around 10:30. Maybe enough for one more session.

Keegs picked up at 12. At one point maybe 15-20 kites flying. Blew enough for me to be boosting on my 17m and still staying upwind. Would have struggled on my 12m. Lots of good, fun "surf" though... And I hate the chop at Keegs. :P

amazing surf and just unbelievalble what the level surfing down at the secret spots on the south end has become. after blowin out some huge turns and scary air attempts on the set waves, think im loving sup surf same as a kite in hand. honesty if you push it on the days the wind dies its so freaking intimidating and soo much potential.friday a bigger repeat? say no more.

Better yet jens forget the pic and live the stoke! U gotta know when it's happening dont u? A mean wave of north and local winds opposite/offshore and sandbars galore down ther with webcams to further guide? 7 second interval time, hard winds at the north buoy, yeah I guess for the lucky who knew it was outrageous. You bring the camera and we will get u amazing pics. Funny tho many of the good surfing folks don't want or care about pics but I will work with u!

For a season that has left many swells without wind the next day it is a shame more peeps don't keep riding the great waves cuz it has been loaded with them this year!
