Busting big mega loops or killing it in the waves the day before gets way more respect then riding the edge of big thunderstorms and lightening for a half hour, just BTW! Seems, with all the warnings and nonsense that day, this is a part of the sport you should not boast about or promote and hardly admirable. I mean would it really be all that fun drifting in cold 45 degree water, in 35knots of offshore west wind when you could have or did ride the entire day before showing off your moves?
I actually, and not knowingly swam in on one of those scenarios early in my kiting and still remember the fear that set in some 12 years later. Go big not stupid and keep others safe by not announcing it too! Again there were strong warnings that many even reported here on the forum.
