We just got a few inches of snow last night which will help, but the snow before then was getting rough at Waubesa. It was better at the other lakes (Monona and Mendota) due to untracked riding. My guess is the new snow will help, but it will not completely cover everything with a soft layer. We're expecting a few inches more tonight, so hopefully that will help.
Saturday looks like light winds on one forecast and good winds on another forecast. Hopefully it will fill in nicely, but I'm at Tyrol Basin all day Saturday.
I think the day to grab it is Thursday. Warmer and breezy.

Respect the parking. I was talking to the guy who plows there. The parking is official for the local little bar there. Please show your support for their business and drop in to say hi and have a cold one after your session.
As long as we keep them happy and we stay polite they will be nice enough to let us use their parking.
The snow that fell seemed very very light and easy to blow away and given it blew sustained 35 knts I thought the snow would be gone. One day the stars will align for me again. Hopefully at least before the ice melts away
Barely enough snow on the South Side field but doable... sort of. Blazin' winds yanked me across the slippery field on the 12M foil which I rigged for the lulls. Much more comfy and fun on the 7M. Skis did better than I did with the heavy edged ABoards kite specific snowboard. Still tons-O-fun with a crew of 4, all on foils. Original Aurelio's in Homewood for legendary South Side pizza and some brews after...

Glad somebody got some flyin' in....I stuck to the cross country skis in the woods myself...but AURELIO's, now that must have been something real good....go by there everytime we visit my wife's family on South Side, and always take a couple of frozen ones home too!!!
yeah, hopefully get some more snow soon....at least there's a covering still....Rock on Ice Cream Man...
