Miller Beach Saturday 5/3

Postby Kabalerror » Fri May 02, 2014 11:35 am

Has anyone seen good forecast for this Sat?
Seems very unstable and a lot of uncertainty.
I've made a lot of trips to IN last summer with not a single day of riding, so will be very disappointing to spend another Sat on the shore.

I'm at Miller beach, it's light WNW 18-20kts. Sunny and warm.

Great day to spend on the beach and for light wind riding...

Cheers

The meter in MC shows a consistent side off wind, not sure if that is the place to be...unless the meter is off!

Certified WaWaZat FlySurfer smooth wind soul seshwa came at the stroke of noon (rock n roll sunrise) when it locked in perfect side to hair-on for 'bout an hour before winds Gods couldn't get it East of the IL border no longer...

Miller delivered unexpectedly strong winds starting from 2:30pm and went up and down consistently until 6:30pm when I had no more energy left...

I went back and forth between 10m and 8m kites as I wanted to check my 2012 Rallies and it was a perfect day for testing them, waves were marginal at the beginning and built up to 3-4ft towards the end of the day.

Lukas and Paul showed up at the right time in the early pm and Kevin followed a little later as he was the only one in the water when I left.

Can't wait for the next one!

Yeah great day actually at Miller on Saturday. Started on my 16m later switched to my 12.

Just pulled into Montrose, looking like a surprise NE day.
