Postby Northerner » Fri May 16, 2014 5:30 pm

We had ridable wind this afternoon with a good chance tomorrow.
Sunday though should go off as the ingredients are present. 10 meter
I'm heading up north, but hope to back for the wind
I'd rather be Rollerblading

Drew, that's absoultey sick that you can call that
Thermal! The graph was awesome. Watched it
Go from 6-7wsw to 25 south like clockwork
around 1. Great call! I had to go to mich for work
Got out for about an hour in south haven. I always
Forget how nice that beach is! 3-4 riders that
were there from 8:30-3:30. Wind was straight south 20-22 most of
day then faded around 4. Very flat water. Almost time
to switch wetsuits!

Best day of the season for me so far. Wind came up around 12 and we were riding just after one. 10 meter all day with the wind being nice and strong 30 yards off the beach with inside lighter but clean. Second session was a classic harbor throw down with flat water and smooth winds in the mid-20s. Rode the harbor for almost an hour and then rode the wind line back up the beach. Wind in front of the hotel later in the day was everything you want.
Classic forecast, classic results. Only 5 guys out with at most 2-3 on the water at once.

Glad guys in holland got it and yes West we need to get a session in soon as the clock is ticking

Andrew, I used your forecast to plan my day of windsurfing up in Cleveland—not quite as strong as Sheboygan but my best day of the season for sure.

Not ideal today but still a chance for big kites
I think I will ride my 12 for 2 hours at some point
It is capping already but worry about it swinging SE and dropping
I'd rather be Rollerblading

Sheboygan was again in full flower today. Started to see caps around 10 with a SSE wind. First guys out around 11 on 12-14 meter kites. I rigged my 12 around 1 had agreat first session. Wind was alittle light right on the shore line but smooth and gunty for most ofthe time. Second session I rigged my 10 rpm and rode lit for 45min to an hour. Water was very cold and so was the beach, parking lot in mid 70's

Wind today is setting up perfecty. We have a nice SW push that will turn south and blast. Only problem isthe clouds, but they don't seem that bad to me as of yet. We will kite today from 11:30 until the clouds come in.

I got almost 2 hours of riding in on my 12 today. Wind came in strong at 11:30 and then shut off by 12 with a heavy bank of clouds. Between 12-1:30 it was on and off as the clouds came and went. Then a window of sunshine came in before the storm and the wind was strong and clean right until the rain came at 3

Today was great example of the micro-climate we have here and how the wind can be affected and predicted based on sunshine and direction. Yesterday evening I spoke to a friend that kites and has a cabin on the lake 10 miles south of town. When I was lit on 10 rpm on sunday he had 3-5 mph of wind and a glassy lake
