West's birthday delivered. Classic.

Great to run down the coast with Lino, Pier, and Rick.
Sounds like there were multiple crews making it happen.

It was my first day on the 6'10". Got me out on the 8m no problem. Super fun thwacking the knee-high, blue widow makers!

Rorke....I probably saw you running the gauntlet if you were part of the crew heading down the line. Lot's of Rally's and RPM's in the air. I was on a red and white 2012 Rally. One of these days we'll ride together.

Pier and I were on matching Red and White 2012 8m Rally's.
You suggested it for my style in the surf. Lovin' it with my huge board. Cranks upwind yet very drifty. Recovers great too.
Thanks again.
We shall shred gnar soon!

Yes SIR.....glad to hear you, Leno, Rick and Pier ran it as well; was bummed that we missed you guys on the 2nd one, the waves picked up a but and were classic at the Nuclear Plant and down by the Rivermouth. Always so cool how different each run is, even if separated by several hours, there are many different set-ups along the way. Had a couple of rides with half dozen bottom turns, and I was catching the beach break doing aerials into a bottom turn right on the sand; although I would not recommend that with a surfboard!! b  Everyone was ripping and agrinning, hooting and ahollering..........

Have been windsurfing or kiting on my birthday 26 of the last 29 yrs; call it a birthday tradition if you will....this one was as good as ever with Ivo, Greg, V, Lynch, Peter, Noah and the other Lino...kind of cool cause we did our first downwinder with V and Greg from Zion to Keegs a lil over 10 years ago. So cool to still be riding with those cool cats, it really cements the friendship!!! Awesome to have Lynch and Ivo on board, cause they have been doing dwndrs with me for several years now, and we make quite the team, and always great to ride with Peter, he is the foil-master and quite the kiter himself; and Lino is picking it up quick with that tutelage; hadn't seen Noah in years, great to have him run it with us....thanks to Ivo for putting the call out and dropping off the vehicles and stocking the cooler...can you say OBE... 8)

Great to see the kiters along the way at the South Zion launch, it was quite the day. Sunshine, 7m, my buddies, and the BIG LAKE. IT just don't get Better, well hitting the Silo for the veggie soufflé could tip the scales....mahalo boyz, shake rattle and ROLLAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

The section of beach next to the big parking lot gets a nice 3 to 6 foot cliff in spring. The ice pushes it up. Smaller one at keegs but it's almost always gone by the time anyone drops by to surf it. The sand bar down south by the dead river is looking good.
