Going to roll down the street to Waukegan on my day off for some light wind kite skim action. Ohhh yea and try and avoid beach walking or getting realy close to the shore north by the power plant or south from zion as there is a ploding plover nest in the area again this year. No confirmed eggs yet. Last year they layed eggs but abandoned the nest. Stupind conservation guys put a wire cage over the nest to keep the preditors out. Ploding plovers are notoroisly skitish so duh they left. Raised 3 out of 4 of the eggs at a local zoo and released them over in Michigan. Play nice with the plovers or they will cry havoch and slay our kites with mighty furry.
Me = 145lb + 6" + (15M spd3 dlx, 11M x-bow, Kahoona 9.5M, 7.5V2) + Zap skim, home made 133 orange carbon aka Bifrost, home made black 170x50 cabon racing light wind tt, 133 wide tip carbon) + red helmet

Waukegan

Hey new to Chicago Kite scene need to learn the local area Ithought I would run up to Waukegan in the morning and hope my 12m is enough and meet some of the local people.

Way to save the eggs bro. And nice to see some more RPMs in town. Awesome kites.

I'm hoping for a weekend repeat like last weekend, and some waves in San Diego Sunday (where I will hopefully be surfing them)...

I'll probably go tomorrow if the winds over 15. I'm getting a new kite tomorrow so I'm dying to try it out.

Looked at wunderground. Showing a nice shocky T-storm coming this way. Not a fan of lightning.

Rode for two hours from 420-6. It was good I was powered on my new 12m naish raven!!
