Ivo called and saw the lake on the North Shore.....caps and blowing good. Waukegan meter showing 17 to 20.... 8) Roman is rallying that's for sure!!

Anybody knows what's the status of the beach closure at Kegs , last week cops kicked us out at 7pm, wondering if this was just because of the drowned man or it is the daily routine now ? If this is the case anybody going to Zion instead ?

Looks like I'm missing another one....get home tonight and home for a week though so any day for the next week post anything that looks good within a day's drive!

Looks like it's the standard time now. I'm headed home then over to zion after work. It's closer to my house by around 5-10 min so hope to get on the beach by 6:00pm if it's blowing still.

I talked to Pier yesterday and he said it's 10a.m. to 6p.m. everyday. He had talked to the police and he said due to the street racing or other shenanigans going on at night the simplest way with budget cuts was to just close the beach down. The officer was nice about it and he didn't want to kick them out, but he had to, I mean, you can't give preference to some (makes sense to me).

That really sucks for you guys up there because during the summer, expecially, the good stuff comes in before 10 or after 6.

I'm hoping it picks up here, but got stuff to do tonight so no kiting for me :(

It's looking like it's going to slip under 8knots. Not ridable dead on shore. Oh well.

and when the State bans Kiteboarding, or closes the beaches at 6 as well... I suppose you can then go to Racine?
