Landkiting Wednesday July 28th

[Like To Kite]

If there is enough wind tomorrow there is a group of us heading out for some landkiting!

I would like to get there for a kite maybe around 2 or 3 and then I am teaching a lesson there from 6-8. We are heading to this location:

Mike and I are bringing all of our landkiting gear. There should be a couple of buggies, a landboard and a few Ozone kites to use. Please bring any suitable gear that you have too.

Watch out for the day wrecker "you can`t fly kites here" guys.
I`ve been run out of busse woods trying to snow kite there a few times.
Maybe a different tolerance in the summer.

Thanks for the heads up. That's really too bad. I thought it was a known and established kiting location. Maybe we'll give it a try and keep Washington Park as an alternate location if we get kicked out of Busse Woods.

I think that field may be within the 5 mile zone from the boarder of the airport. I think it's FAA part 101. Yup

101.13 Operating limitations.

(4) Within five miles of the boundary of any airport.

Come to think of it I violated the heck out of this snow kiting this winter.

Postponing this adventure until next week. Maybe next Tuesday or Wednesday will be the go depending on conditions.

Conditions look marginal for today. My student postponed. My car needs alternator and radiator work :(
