I'm planning on heading to South Haven, too. Never been... so, where exactly do people go? I just looked at Google Maps, and it looks like there's a lot of beach.

We'll follow the "Where2Ride" directions:

South Haven - Acceptable Wind Directions: SSW, SW, W, NW, N
Directions: From Chicago: Take I90/294/80/94 around the lake. Take I94 past St. Joseph to I196 North toward Grand Rapids. Take I196 to South Haven and exit at County Road 388 (CR388) heading West. Take Phoenix West until you reach Broadway Street and head North (right turn). Broadway curves to the left and turns into Dyckman as it goes over the water. Go to the end and make a left turn to go South. Its a one-way drive around so just follow to the right along the sand to find parking.

Left Wolf 30 min ago when it was still blowing pretty strong.

I was on the way to bridgman when I stopped at wolf because it was blowing 25. I rode for 2-2.5 hours at wolf lit on my 9 then decided to hit up the big lake.... well when I got to bridgman it was just dead. Still a great day to be out on the water.

Got to South Haven around 9 CDT. Surf was a little rough for someone who's never ridden in surf before, so I hung out on the shore. Wind started pretty strong - I have a 10 m - and tapered throughout the morning and early afternoon. I left at 2, and it looked like a lot of folks had already packed up by then.
