Just a word of warning to those trying to learn @ miller tomorrow. It will be straight onshore with large shorepound. Challenging conditions for sure. Have fun and be safe!

definitely true, tomorrow at miller not going to be good for learning.. just like corey said straight on shore, lots or white water hitting the beach, makes it hard to get upwind and on your board if you're new to it..

Hmmm this looks tempting to go down there. Just wondering, are you allowed to kitesurf at the Indiana dunes?

I asked the ranger last time I was at the Warren Sand Dunes for paragliding. He said kiting is ok as long as you stay out of the swimming area. It is a very small swimming area and a huge area so very easy. Great place for downwinders!

Does anyone have recommendations for the best learning area for tomorrow? Thanks!

Prob hit miller too. Need to get in the waves...

Gonna be good!

If its n/ne, waukegan is your best learning beach amanda. Walk upwind to near the plant/jetty and ride downwind back to the launch area near the parking. Lots of shallow water near the beach (more than any other beach I think).

very light forecast at Waukegan. Go towards Michigan to get the side-shore winds

Let me know where you guys go. I need a bar for tomorrow. Can I borrow anyone's? I have a lark's heads back lines and knots on the front lines (on the bar).

Thanks

Any reports from Miller? I would rather not drive all the way to St. Joe.
