hey, i can take up to 5 more guys with two kites each and probably two boards..

let me know if anyone's interested.. $10 for gas if we take the van, i'll pay the rest (it's a gas hog)..

we'll leave from either my house or meet at one of the oasis' on the way to indiana.. graph looks pretty good for holland, and even better for grand haven.. we should get back around 10pm..

=========================
Planning on leaving at 6am

Planning on arriving home at 10pm (depending on the conditions when we're ready to leave)

it's about a 3 hour ride to Holland, 3.5 hour ride to grand rapids..

Hey Dewsy, Don't know you but saw your post.

I'm a Holland native / long time kiter in the local spots surrounding. Just an FYI the swim buoy's are still in at Holland State Park / Grand Haven State Park and you cannot ride until they are removed - sometime after the second week of September.

Plenty of other spots close by to ride that are just as nice if not better.

Have fun ;]

Do you mind if a noob tags along? I've taken lessons and been out a few times, but just need more time on the water.

Work schedule is pretty light tomorrow so I'm contemplating a "snow day".

I don't mind at all, looks like the forecast is lightening up though.. I'm going to keep checking but if it lightens up much more, the 3+hr drive probably won't be worth it..

Freezy - thanks for the heads up, I'll keep checking googmaps for what will look like a safe place to launch..

Hi Guys,

Am a Chicago resident, but in Holland, MI through the weekend hanging with the family.

Wind is picking up around here.... Going to head over to Port Sheldon Park soon, on the North Side of Holland, great place to ride.
