Is it really closed though? I'm too familiar, but sounds like just an advisory

Thanks, just didn't want to be the only guy out there. The guard said it's fine to park outside the shack at Marquette before 9 and move into the lot when it opens. I'll probably check in anyone is at Miller first.

See you guys tomorrow.

Wow, what a Labor Day weekend!

Yesterday was so much fun though quite a challenge at Michigan City! Great seeing so many there and meeting many new people.

Heading out for another day of adventure. Looks like it will be more onshore at MC today so will head to Miller(Marquette) instead. I have discouraged many less advanced riders from going out today. It is easy to get into trouble in the big surf and the waves have been building all night.

It would be great to get a report from anyone that is there. I'll post conditions if I hear from anyone. See you soon!

Happy Kiting!

Rick was nice enough to give me a report from Miller and MC.

Miller dropped off, he said a 15m would work. Michigan City is ripping again with even bigger waves than yesterday.

See you at Michigan City!

Rick just called me with an updated report from MC

Most people on 13s, huge waves, strong rip, lighter winds - it's a struggle out there.

With this info, think I'll pass. At Lake Wawasee with family the rest of the weekend, back in Chicago on Tuesday.

Have a great holiday weekend!

Amanda,

Thanks for posting the real-time conditions for everyone. I drove to Miller and it was too light, but had a good time catching up with Lino and some others on the beach.

Maybe Monday on the south winds?

I arrived Miller around 3PM, many kiters were leaving but i decided to stay. Roman was flying 12m and a few others who were in the water were still holding ground so i decided to gear up. I got the 13m up and just then the wind picked up...... "side shore" and it was real good, with big waves and side shore it was a perfect wave riding set up. Those who were there the whole day said that it was the best wind of the day. Just my luck.....

I left at 5:30 and it was picking up even more , with a few more kiters arriving.
