Looks like Keegs might come through. If it does I will be up there before the sun comes up and have to leave around noon-ish just got the ok . Anyone else game I'll set up a base camp on the south end to hold back the locals.

Tad bit of W in it though, it will be more SSW then a true S.
For those that ride W at lot, how is it on a SSW?
I hope for a true S so we can stay closer to home and avoid the drive to MI.

Pls. advice on SSW at W.

Thanks,
Gerard

i'm pretty sure that keegs is doable on ssw as long as you're starting at the south end.. what's the story with it opening at 10 though and the $20 fee to get in? if that's the case I'll hit ISB instead..

I remember riding keegs on a ssw with IVO one time.. yeah it'd be REAL nice to avoid a drive to MI.. do they allow grills on the beach, maybe we could do a cookout for kitesurfers like we did at miller that one time..

Where is ISB dews?

I was going to head to Waukegan, but both the $20 and SSW (not ideal) winds are turning me off. you ever try Wolf Lake? I wouldn't recommend to most if any, but you should give it a try since your skillzz are good enough now. I might head that way. Waiting to see what others think

Illinois State Beach (zion) they open up the lot at sunrise.. i know cause i've been there before and the lot was closed.. looks like the wind is supposed to come up during the day though.. lookin to try a "C" kite if someone's got one to lend..

by the way i know that ISB is free.. and doesn't close till an hour after sundown (i think)

The 10-6 is week ends only, week days it is 6-6 and not enforced. If the direction comes through I will be there before sun up, nobody around at that time...

Zion is offshore on a ssw. Waukegan is quite ridable on a ssw. It can be a bit gust on a ssw but not that bad in fall when the air and water are close in temp.

Does anyone go to the chain o lakes. I am going to be by the Fox river til late morning. If anyone is going to go there let me know.

How much does it cost to park at Zion Beach? Is it only a few miles north of keegs?

Chain is too busy to kite and neither keegs or zion charges during the week.

alright, ill be at keegs around 10 or so with the woman which means i'll have to spend as much time or more on the beach than riding, but hopefully the wind and direction will be somewhat cooperative..

G... St. Joe is not the place for tomorrow. S and even SSW is off-shore there. On that direction, you have to go to about South Haven or even Holland to get a side-shore wind.

I'll be at Waukegan around 7 or 8 a.m.
