Thanks to Dan for saving my 12m.
When I go kiting with my kiter wife and baby, I look like John Candy from Summer Rental. Tent, chairs, 2 kites, 2 bars, 2 boards, 2 wetsuits, 2 harnesses, pump, umbrella, diaper bag, cooler, etc.
Well, after setting up the tent I pumped up the 12m. Then it started ripping, so I sanded that and started over with the 9m.
Annie's turn was first. We have a system. I self launch and walk way up wind while she follows with the baby. After 10 minutes, we put the babe in the dunegrass out of the wind, Annie takes the kite, I run back to the tot and walk back to the tent.
On my way back, I saw Dan had snatched my rolling kite just before it rounded the point. He was still flying his kite, but couldn't flop mine. Since I couldn't really run back due to the tiny baby, I very much appreciate him holding that shit together for a lot longer than he wanted to.
I guess I needed more sand. Has anyone ever had the sand blow off their kite?
Growlers on me!
