Casino did deliver yesterday. Stronger that 2 weeks ago, waves slightly less in order and somehow blown off by very strong wind. At the end of the day when it switched north was on 7m and fully depowered and it was still too much. I have never seen so many rainbows in one day, not even in Hawaii! Should have some video material but can't edit it now (no worries, no more kitecam!). you guys enjoy today, I am OOT.
Why is nobody trying that yellow kicker/slider down the beach???

Sheboygan was in full flower yesterday. A north wind up here can come with basically two problems. The first is that it simply won’t blow hard enough for great kiting and if it does will often die out during the day. The second problem is that it can be gusty as the wind has to travel over a small part of the city. Yesterday we had the later problem, but only right at the launch. Once out the wind and waves were as smooth as it gets, making yesterday one of the top five wave days I’ve seen here. Waves where 6-8 ft on average and were long and nice as they wrapped around one of the largest set of piers on the lake. Once in the waves behind thepier the water and waves where as smooth can be, reminded me of new ice on a hockey rink.

7-8 kiters came to ride, but only me and Herbie from Green Bay really made it out to the good stuff throughout the day. The poor wind at the launch, strong side current at the beach and the big waves made for alot of kiters and kites washing ashore down wind. I rode my surf board strapless with my 8 m Rally on 25 meter lines. The only other time I rode Rally was up at Lake Superior in crazy big conditions,so yesterday was my first real session where I got the true feel of the kite and it is impressive. The kite is very stable, drifted perfectly, turns on a dime and one has great control of the power of the kite. Relaunch was fast and that is a great assist in the waves. Really pleased so far with it.

After three the wind was up and down but blew till dark, while the waves just kept looking better. Surfers got it really good when the wind would drop from time to time over 20 or so out.

Andrew,
why the heck don't you guys take some photos, so we can all experience the shebo on her good days. never seen it on the north wind. I am ready to sponsor a camera for the northern chapter.

I wish i had some pictures from Zion it was the best day I have ever had there. If I would have had a 4m I would have had even more fun.

Don't hold your breath on Northerner posting any pics, too busy for that. In fact his buddies have a hard time pulling him off his beach to come ride with the bros ( even when its offshore there). For instance I have been going to Brat town for the last 6 or so years and andrew has never come to madison. bam!!!

Slavi,
We really do need to get some pics of the waves. The only time I wish I was getting pics of anything kiting was on these days. I will make it a mission to get some next time. Hell its good we should skip the pics and make a video. Though Jens is right, just to busy riding to stop and say cheese.
