I was thinking it was going to be offshore this weekend on this side of the lake but now its looking better. Is it safe to go out with the tstorms predicted?

Just keep a really good eye out on the clouds and the rest of the sky. Sometimes you can even feel little shocks like when you holding an electric fence. (And no this is no lie!).

Sometimes you can even feel little shocks like when you holding an electric fence. (And no this is no lie!).

Last year in October our friend was in the middle of a downwinder in SPI when the storm was brewing. Every time he jumped and landed, he left a little jolt of electricity going through his body, the longer in the air, the stronger the jolt. He was thinking these were his old spine injuries acting up. But then, a thunder hit the water some 200 yards away, and he was literally thrown off the board and into the air.
Then he had the fastest run to the beach, and into that shack across the street from North Plains. When we came to pick him up, he was still standing on the wooden table, for better insulation, quite a bit shaken...
