HOw'd it go?

I drive past on the way to Casino to help a friend store his sailboat for the winter. I had my stuff to ride, but a friend got into a car wreck and I had to shoot back to the burbs to help him out later in the afternoon.

Everyone was on the shore when I drove past. The dang boat cover almost flew off of the sailboat! Looked plenty windy!

Great Day at Wolf.
I started by myself right after 9 am on big door and 13.5 but soon people started to show up. When Adrien showed up it was strong enough for him to ride 9m all day long.
Some riders were changing from 15 to 10m at times but most of the time wind was strong enough to ride small board and do some jumps.
There were 6 of kiters at times on water with WSW wind making somewhat crowded at beach start.
Good day, I stayed to the end and was the last guy to leave water 4:30 pm
in our group we have a guy who been struggling all year long but he manage finally to do some riding and was so happy about it,
Congrats ADAM

Since you mentioned, how is Wolf for the semi-beginner (IE, taken lessons, practiced a lot, working on boardskills)?. I always assumed it was too dangerous so I've avoided it.

Ya, same thing I was told due to wind shadows, concrete with rebar and weeds...

tuff place to learn.
Lot of things can go wrong and you end up with broken bones, kite or more.
The guy i was talking about was windsurfing there for years so he know the wind and area,
Lunching and landing is tuff because of shadow from the island. Wind can dye in instance and you have kite falling on benches and other obstacles. if relaunch itself you could be drag into concrete wall.

 In my opinion you need to have great kite control and be good on ur board to even consider lunching kite there.
