Snowkiting grass lake Tuesday 1.17.2011

Wind prediction is going to be around 17mph, lots of fresh snow coming down today and tomorrow. Any one interested in a session at Grass Lake? North Winds

Lookin good for tomorrow. I can get out late morning early afternoon. Have to try out my GoPro again since I botched my recording on Sat, had the device set on pictures not video when I got home to see my 45 min of recording it was just 2 pictures no videos. Very disappointed.

I'd love to join you guys and further the progress I made on Saturday - but - gotta' work and make more $ for more kiting gear!

The only thing worrying my at the moment is the Slush build up. Most Snow turned in to slush now, but if the forecast is right it looks like more snow covering again. Any one heading up there from the Chicago Area? I am willing to pay for some gas money

Kited for about an hr. Snow conditions not no good, crunch ice on surface so snowboard tracks to much.

Thats what I thought it would happen. There is more snow on its way again, but no wind well you never know how the wind will turn out

yeah sit tight on grass lake, we're going to get an epic ride in pretty soon, plenty of wind plenty of snow, it's going to all just come together.. prayin to Xavier Rudd for that to happen :p

Great conditions on Lake Winnebago (Fond du Lac, WI)
Got out on Tuesday with the WAK crew and it is a 30 mile x 10 mile super playground.
Out in front of Club Altmeyer launch for a 2 hour session. WAK has the 3 and 4 ft kicker ramps out and they have plowed some snow piles for kickers and terrain. Pressure ridges and cracks on the lake have formed natural kickers.
After that we did the 10mile lake crossing to Wendt`s bar for lunch and West`s Wisco favorite Spotted Cows. Got back to Club Altmeyer just before dark, and Don showed up and openned his boathouse/bar for more Spotted Cows. Can`t beat Don`s hospitality, he just gives and gives.

Anyone jones`n for powder riding should consider the drive, 2 hrs for me from Glenview.

Also had a WAK meeting for the 2011 Sturgeon Stampede Winter Snowkiting Classic, scheduled for Feb 11,12,13. I`ll post more info and a link once it gets posted on the WAK website.

Will def try to hear up there when you guys have the snowkite event. Maybe just the Saturday or maybe the whole weekend. Only 2 hours for a great session that is nothing! Will give it a try!
