Landed some huge forward to blind with handlepass today on the snow with SS key with Roddiev as my witness.
Kite is so much more affordable than the others in the line-up and highly misunderstood as an expert kite, while incredible as a beginner with stock settings. I have it dialed and can show you the way with all sorts of tips and adjustments I have learned in the snow and on trips this winter.
Kite comes stock, set-up for intro kiting and so the price is cheap!! Come check it out with a lesson or demo to see how it can be expert material. I have a number of them new, un-opened if you want to kite hard without the big $$$ investment
oooh man I wish I were out there now.. man, the wind is howlin.. I'd b there in a tshirt n snowpants for sure!! but I'm stuck at this meet, so let me know how it was out there!! I might try to hit it tomorrow.. the ice should still be thick enough right?
The ice will be thick enough, but I would guess that the snow will be too slushy. I was there this morning along with about 6-8 others. The top 6 inches of snow was fine, but in some areas there was about 4-5 inches of slush underneath.
Great winds today though and the snow was still fine. Wind was about 15 and clean as a whistle!!
it was nice - sunny and warm, however riding conditions weren't good, when I started at 1pm snow was too sticky, it was hard to get any speed on a snowboard (may be some wax could have helped), yesterday was better despite much lighter wind
