Crib showing 23 knots East.....Sweetest direction for M, can anyone verify this.....I'm far West and would hate to drive and get skunked. The crib cam is also showing Fog which could be a wind killer.

DO NOT GO!!!

This ALWAYS happen when it's suddenly warm out and the top layer of water is cold. East direction will only once in a blue moon come out and it HAS to be cloudy. I've never in my 3 years seen it sunny and work on an east.

The way to verify is check the near shore meters @ montrose or even the o'hare meter. If it too is blowing more then 10-12 knots it's probably working, but most of the time it'll read 0-4.

It worked for me Monday afternoon! Rode a 13M on the SE from about 4-6pm when the sun came out. Died when it clouded up again. Sweet indeed. I guess there was a blue moon that night too.

Surprised not to see anyone else there but this weekend should be good Gerard. Hope to see you.

Blue moon indeed. I've never caught one. I've seen it blow 27knots on the crib and no more then 5knots on-shore...it's crazy on the ESE.

Paul, I promised myself to ride much more this season. I will be out of town this weekend though celeberating the wifey's B-Day.
