Wolf Lake is now 100% expert.

The rigging are is closed, gone, torn out. There's no more beach.

You have to stay upwind 110% of the time.

Hanging on the beach at Kegs for two hours, waiting for the wind to come... In good company, to be sure...
Then - still no wind - but rain with hail, the size of a dice. Helmet came handy...

wind 10-30 kts today, lunching kite in shadow area over slippery rocks and windsurfers sitting ducks by the shore. hope your kite will not fall on the edge or sharp sticks.

So when it started to hail and there still was not any wind, I packed up and walked to my car. Was just about to leave when all the sudden the wind turned on. Put back on the wet wetsuit and re pumped up the kite and re layed out the lines. Was awesome. Those that stayed rode till dark.

Was it because skysurfer left?

So with the grass and beach ripped out what is the launch at Wolf? Finally got down to wolf last season on some ripping 30+ days and it was a blast. Looking forward to trying it again if there is a launch/land.

gbleck, Yeah the new launch is just North of that new Pavilion. I think that is going to be the new permanent launch since the new area being built has a play ground and other small buildings built almost up to the beach. the new launch isn't that bad fortunately. You absolutely need two people though, no question. You can launch and land in grass though so it's not bad. Trees are a hazard, but you don't need to dodge them like sometimes in Madison. Was just out today. I could have easily been in a shorty if not just board shorts today. Pretty good wind from the West with 2 others kiters (zulutimer and ironben). We rode for hours and it was real fun.

I have not been to wolf this year. Does anyone have the capability and techo skills to draw and post a hand drawn map of the new improved (LOL) launch area
