Its $20.00 for non residence to get in at Keegs now on week ends. Car pooling from the yacht club parking lot a good idea.

Holiday weekends too. Not sure if the 4th of july counts but I am sure the city needs the cash.

Not on Mondays and technically the season hasn't started yet so there isnt a fee. I dropped in on saturday and nobody taking money. I was told the marking of the season is when you see the porta pissers in the parking lot. It does in fact say it opens memorial day weekend but no evidence of this yet.

Change of plans, heading to Waukegan where there may be better wind. on the way so see you soon! Will update conditions when there.

Seems to be about 13 knots and slightly off shore. The word on the beach is that it should be building and backing (counter clockwise wind movement) so that it is more side shore. Flat at the moment. Hot sunny day at the beach!

Ya meter says SW right now and 13. getting some things done so I can roll when it turns south.

Is there that 20 $ fee up there today?

If it's $20 at Waukegan, why not just go next-door to Zion Illinois Beach State Park? It's free and nicer.

MC is running damn near sideshore right now despite the pier reading?? The heat of the sand and cooler water may be forcing it that way which is at noon about 18-20knots.

keegs went off. that wind meter (direction wise) has gotta be off. Rode till dark, closed it out on the water with a beautiful sunset then hit up El Famous Burrito with some of the kite crew.

It has to be off. I look out the window and at the meter and it's fairly consistently reading more clockwise then the real wind.
