landboarding in iowa,is there any?

I'm trying to get started kiting but like most i don't have a lot of money.What i do have is a nice beemer 3.6 TSR trainer kite. Is there someone close too me that i could learn something from?i mean i didn't plan on jumping right on the board right away,i was going to learn how to fly my kite without looking at it and so on.u know what i'm saying..some people act like that is JUST Suicide!that can't be true with a little kite and big spaces is it?
