IF that is what you are looking for buddy just OPEN up your latest kite mag, or go down to OLBRICH....more to life than unhooking bro...but anytime you want to see some wakestyle tricks, just come on down to Texas and ride with BUCK; he was a little tentative on the trip due to the fact that we were usually several miles from the chase boat, riding in inches of water and damn near a day away from any medical services. But believe me, the man can ride!!

Remember, SAFETY FIRST!!!!!!!! Our motto for the trip was "don't be scared, but don't be stupid." Just the minor event of having a kite strut tube separate from the leading edge of the kite became a major undertaking to fix in those conditions. Any individual breakdown could have jeopardized the completion of the journey for the entire TEAM of kiters.

Let me know if you enjoy any of our other footage of the trek. I know it is hard to imagine some incredible riding without having a plethora of Hadlow tricks thrown in....but TRY!

By the way the stars at night are BIG and BRIGHT down on the Intracoastal!

Day 1: South Padre Island to Port Mansfield

Here are a few pics from day 1 taken from the support boat. They travelled within the Intracoastal canal where the water was deep enough for boat travel, and were unable to follow us on our treks across the Laguna Madres, and into the various flats. We are going through all of the photos and videos of the trip. We had several different people taking photos from another boat and one of our riders carried a camera as well. Hope you enjoy the photos and get an idea of the expanse of water we are kiting!!

My favorite PIC!
Always a prerequisite for me, a board that can toe side turn. Currently either my board, or most likely it's "ME" that can't lay it down as low as West in the pic. Something to work on.

During the sesh when these photos were taken, I did 40 toeside turns one way, then 40 toeside turns the other way....the inside butter at Jerry's is absolutely perfect for laying down some screaming turns. Thing about it is, that it is just a bottom turn....really!!!!!!!!!! And the 134 was made to bottom turn.

Completely agree 100%. This picture should win for best spray picture ever. The strength of the spray coming off the board at the end of the turn is impressive.

Nicely done West. It's always been inspiring to watch you ride.
