Awesome video, so fun to watch and remember the great day! That was one of my favorite days of riding ever. First time in the water after a long winter having just driven out of tons of snow out West. The weather was absolutely perfect with that strong warm breeze. Tons of riders out and their friends and families enjoying time on the beautiful beach. Great to see many friends and also students and all the progression everyone has made. Adrien, it is exciting to see you and everyone else riding so well! Thanks for posting a fantastic video. Maurice, thanks again for making this memorable day possible!

Yes, way to go Maurice!!!! I've never seen so many kites on a Chi area beach!!

And great video! This must have been shot before the beach REALLY filled in with kites & kiters.

Very nice Adrien, damn that's crazy flat water at Waukegan, don't see that too often.

Were you wearing a helmet cam that you passed off to the beachgoers on the jetty? Nice move

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. It really was good seeing almost everyone out there. For the first time I didn't feel like "the new guy" cause I recognized and knew so many people there. Always awesome to see the new people too. I don't remember the last time we saw such great conditions. Warm air, sunshine, 23-30 all day, good direction, smooth wind, abnormal flat water. The only downside was obviously that cold water. It didn't seem to stop anyone though.

Thanks again. You guys make me want to try new stuff now. I've been stuck for a while....I need push

What a blast!
Thanks again to everyone in the Chicago kiting community for a killer weekend.
I don't think i've ever seen so many different camera angles of a single trick, including the kiters view (Adseguy).
Adseguy, I would like to talk to you about GoPro editing tricks. Awesome video!

The camaraderie was impressive. I enjoyed launching and landing for riders, and learned a lot doing so.
Now I need to work on getting in the water! (my goal for this season) What's my next step? Where do I start?

Hi Tim!

Great seeing you out there with your Granddaughter. You have got to post a pic of that pink buggy that you put together for your Grandaughter, it is so cute. Very cool that you welded your own buggy too. Just found the video of you on the buggy, awesome! Here's the link to that post for anyone that missed many of the pics and videos of our fun event day:

Tim, you are well on your way to getting into the water. Since you have been practicing kite skills and utilizing the power of the kite to pull you, learning in the water will be so much easier. It would be great to continue lessons with you and we can start at your earliest convenience. Already sent you a PM.

Another great option for you or any riders wanting to progress this summer is a trip to East Tawas, MI. Here's the link to tentative Tawas Trip dates:

Thanks so much and happy kiting!
