Kiteboard for sale and looking for used kite board

Postby Arne » Sat Sep 21, 2013 4:47 pm

Hey guys,

I just started my kite career. Unfortunately my instructor sold me a pro board without a middle handle. It's a cabrinha custom 136, 2011 or 2012, it was probably worth around 600 new. I haven't really used this board so please make an offer if you are interested. Picture upon request.

At the same time I'm also looking for a new used beginner board (obviously with a middle handle) so please hit me up if you have something.

Cheers,

Arne

Not to discourage you from selling your board but you can buy those grab handles online. just look for kiteboard grab handles and you will be amazed

The Cabrinha custom has no spot for handles. It's a wake style board, so there would be a beat down if you rode boots with a handle.

The Cabrinha Custom 136 is also not a beginner friendly board at all, so you are smart to get rid if it. I'm not much for outing other dealers online, but curious who sold you this board. See below for my email.

It's made to be ridden mostly with boots and has more rocker, so it's going to be hard to ride.

I have quite a few boards that would work out perfect, but need more info please. Please send me an email to bob@kiteridersllc.com and we can discuss the details. I might be interested in that board and I'm a Cabrinha dealer.

Bob is right, the board has no holes for handles and I was told it was not a good idea to drill them in...

My instructor told me the same thing but I felt last time that I was really missing one when I tried to get the board into the right position...

Arne,

Glad to help. Hate seeing people get the wrong gear.

We'll talk soon.

I was assuming there were holes in the board for a handle, that is what you get if you don't pay attention to new gear LOL silly me! Oh and indeed never drill holes in your board for no reason unless you make a table top out of it some day :D

Dutch...I would have made the same assumption if I wasn't a Cabrinha dealer. The custom is a great wake style board, but not for beginners.

Any wind this week down there?

This is absolutely correct. It can be helpful, but it's not necessary at all. Sometimes it becomes a bit of a crutch for beginners.
