Just an update:
BIG THANK YOU to our members who came out to Oak Street Beach to help out with the clean-up on June 4th. It was a great event and Brett Dennen gave a rocking performance at Navy Pier afterward. Thank you to Barefoot Wine for supplying the crew with amazing food and beverages - it was just what everyone needed after working so hard in the sun!
What? You weren't able to go - You feel really awful about not being there and you want to help out?
We've got just the answer for your dilemma!
Come on down to Montrose Beach on Sunday, June 19th to help us celebrate International Surfing Day (ISD). We'll kick the day off right with a beach clean-up from 10 AM - 12 PM and end the day with a Stand-Up Paddleboard session and DEMO!!! That's right, come make our beaches a little bit cleaner and try your balance on a stand-up paddleboard! It's all the rage these days!! We will even have some snacks and beverages for you (not that we feel we need to bribe you).
You can't make it this weekend either?? Jeez - you can still help out our local chapter by heading to Patagonia in the month of June to purchase a shiny, new pair of shoes!! It's Advocate Weeks at Patagonia Chicago (see below):
