Silly question but just curiouse

So fall is kicking in and I am thinking about snow already. I was just wondering if any one knows why the USA doesn't offer any indoor Ski / Snowboarding options? Indoor Skiing and Snowboarding is huge in Europe before winter gets around. And a good place to practice skills. maybe any one interested to invest in me in this idea for the Chicago area? LOL
