I received the following email from Surfrider and thought that there may be many people interested in this event. I am having trouble finding any more information online.


Surfrider Beach Clean-up
at Montrose Beach

October 8, 2011

Plan on gathering at Montrose for an 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM clean-up, followed by a rockin' after-event with food and drink at THE DOCK, until 3 PM. Be on the look-out for the Surfrider tent and beer specials at the Dock brought to you by our friends at Pacifico! Got a board? BRING IT! Help us get in the water to fish out debris from our Great Lake! Great way to take a stand in the sand and help keep our Chicago coastline looking spic n' span!

We LOVE our Chicago Coastline!

Please join Surfrider Chicago on land and lake to help keep one of our favorite beaches clean. Mother Nature is on our side and is promising high 70's and plenty of sunshine! RSVP through the register button and you'll be directed to our Facebook page where you can confirm that you'll be there!
