Snowkiting Flop House in NW Michigan

Is it too early to even discuss snowkiting? Hope not.

Would anybody be interested in renting a room/bed/couch in a lake house for a weekend or whatever at one of the best launches up here?

There are summer houses up here that normally get winterized in the next few weeks. However, they could be rented for the entire off season instead.

While there is no way I could afford to do this solo, I think it is doable if guys are interested in paying to stay.

Sweet 25 mile downwinders on the snow.
Ends at a bar with $2 burgers and $2 beers.
Houses considered are very close to the launch and on the water.
There are 2 old, closed down ski hills that are sweet for poaching.
There is a lift access place too.
There are other secret spots that I may be shared depending on whether or not you are cool or weak.
15 minutes (10 miles) to TC.

I have had some amazing experiences due to cockamamie schemes like this.

If conditions look good for a weekend, would anybody shell out $30-$50 to stay in a house at the launch?

sounds like a good idea Rorke, just one sesh is worth all of dat, the more the better........

can't attribute the warm weather to global warming tho, probably just normal cyclying of temps, ......wouldn't mind kiting Betsie year-round that's for sure!!!!!!!!!!!

do you have a location that you can give out? There a few free places to stay that I found in the keweenaw peninsula... and its usually windy and have plenty of snow.

South end of south lake leelanau. Leelanau county, MI.
Super long from north to south. Very narrow so it freezes.

Keweenaw is sweet. And "free" is sweet. So that sounds pretty good too.

While it depends on if I'm in the area or not this winter, I'd be interested for sure.
