W2Z yesterday

Downwinder, repeat of Sunday. West, Greg, Steve and I. Scotty G showed up but didn't join us on the downwinder. Great day. For 2.5 hrs got some riding on some big waves. In front of the power plant is the spot. THe wind was super solid, smooth, for over an hour. We hung out there just hitting wave after wave. Glassy on the outside, super foggy. Couldn't see the other kites lots of times even though we were all within 1000 feet of each other. Crazy fog blowing through couldn't even see the shore except for the very tops of the smoke stacks on shore until you got close. Then it all blew out and was clear and sunny and warm. At the end, as we were nearing the hotel at Zion, the wind started going nuts, 30-40 mph gusts. We came off the water and called it a day.

Hey V, have you finally declared an end for your season yet?

Yeah, I think so. This week is brutal, lows of 12 and stuff... I think if this holds through the weekend like it should, that's probably going to be it, unless we get real lucky and get a couple warm days, which could still happen. I may take a road trip on favorable wind conditions to the "heated" lake (Clinton). Gotta talk to Scotty G about that see if he wants to go one weekend and get some water riding in.
