That place looks awsome, anybody from Wisco, been to Chequamegon
Near the Apostile Islands, and close to Ashland.

The spit is at least 6 miles long, if you can believe that!

Anybody ever been to this spot?

Looked on mapquest and there are no roads that go out on that thing. Looks like boat access only. Would work on any wind direction.

I kited about 100 miles East of this place, Near Houghton. I can tell from experience that the water is crystal clear up there. Amazing, like glass. There are so many islands up there you wouldn't believe it. The problem was that even in Aug, the water is about 53-55 degrees near shore, and further out in the deeper areas, its 3-5 degrees colder. Brrr.... need a wetsuit all year, but that photo looks like its shallow for a while.
