Mountainboard Modifications

Postby MrNiceFred » Wed Jan 04, 2006 12:42 pm

Hey,

On the CK site, there is a page on making modifications to mountainboards so that they ride better in the sand. The article talked about axel extentions to add width to the trucks. Does anyone know where to buy these extenders?

I had those custom machined. I'm in the manufacturing industry so I have 1000 contacts with machine tools and spare material lying around, so I made a few calls and someone did me a favor. I can send you the CAD print I made if you want. Not sure what the cost would be to make a program and machine them in hard tool steel though. My guy also added a set screw on his own, which was nice of him.

Could you post a picture or two of this board you modified?
