Lost Board Handle

Postby V » Thu Jun 17, 2004 10:44 am

The middle strap (for carrying) on my Jarvis 157 Slingshot fell off when the screws came loose. I'd like to replace it, do you happen to have or know how to get this part?

Don't have any but you can easily make one yourself. Honestly, I think you might want to get a piece of small diameter PVC pipe from the hardware store (or check out the garbage at a construction site), cut it down to about 12-14" and hold it over your stove (far enough away to not burn) so it starts to get soft. Then bend it and flatten the tips with a hammer or something. Drill a couple holes where the screws need to go and you have a rigid board handle! The new boards are all coming with rigid handles now. And this solution is practically free, and only takes a little while to make yourself.
