I can honestly say that I was sitting at home in my toasty condo...not wanting to go. Then the urge to rip it overcame the fear of cold. No booties, no gloves...wasn't cold at all until I landed and packed up. First session on the big lake... good start! Thanks to Jochi and Dickie for talking me out of rigging my 12m...would have been way too much.

i was way to juiced on a 9 c, and like you Arch, 3mm wetsuit, no hood/gloves i was completely beat up by the end. you guys should see my toe. after my session i got out of my boots and looked at my big toe and it was completely blue. i could hardly sleep last night with it throbbing. i guess i put a lot of pressure on the nail and couldn't feel it because of the cold. i guess the pain is all the bleeding underneath the nail.

Report from the North. Day started with ugly chop and rain. Bob cook gets the early bird award has he and Anderson from Madison where riding by 7:30. Sorry Bob that you didn’t get a piece of good stuff and you had to leave early. I tested the waters around 1 rode for a few minutes and decided to wait until conditions got better. Door country crew showed up which was great see those guys out on the water as it has been more than a year.
Conditions cleaned up nicely around 4 and it was time to bring out the big guns. A few Sheboygan guys and the Madison crew stuck around rode hard for 2 hours in smooth head high waves. Almost everyone on sevens with Jens out there on a 6. I had an absolute blast on my 7 Nano and one of the new Sling Shot surf boards that Bob lent me to Demo. I’ve been riding the Lf Rawson and have to say the sling shot board was a step above. Not sure of the name but it was a 5’8â€
I'd rather be Rollerblading
