Miller was blowin nice and steady when I got there this morning. The surf was pretty crazy, crashed my 12m and blew a valve on that one too..

guess it was a bad idea to leave the kites in the car during all those freezing nights.. got the 8m back up though, so my patch held nicely during my second session..

ZION must have been crazy today..

Yup, never leave the kites in car during extreme cold or extreme heat. In fact, the heat may be more damaging.

Miller was completely onshore today - not to safe for kitesurfing...

I could argue. If one can stay upwind and kite far enough to have a safe distance from the beach I would say on-shore is pretty safe. If anything were to happen- your boards and kites will end up on the beach. :?
nevertheless, for beginners and those who are just learning to stay upwind- onshore may be dangerous.
correct me if im wrong.

No offence Jason. English is not my first language but I have wrote "-not to safe" whitch for me means exactly what nG said.
At least at Miller is a lot of space no jetty's, no trees and a dune before You hit parking lot ;)

p.s THIS would be a whole different story if it was sideshore or at least happened at Miller - bit extreme but still... >>>>

When you kite in "onshore" wind you run the risk of being slammed, as the video shows, on the sand etc. HAving seen a coumpound fracture in the DR, with broken bones comming out of some guys leg, I can tell youthat wet sand is only a bit softer than cement.

How far out is safe? way way way way out.... Ive seen a mistake launch a guy and in seconds he was, as the video shows, on the beach or worse.
