The further north you go on lake michigan the cleaner it gets until you hit milwaukee . Keegs/ Zion water quality is much better BUT the sands contain asbestos in really high levels this is why there is on going core samples and testing going on. What ya think they were doing in those fenced off areas with tubes sticking out of the ground at keegs? ANything south is nasty as hell on lake michigan due to its shape all the pollutants tend to head south and intensify. Wold lakes pollutants are preexisting from its own sediments from when it was filled except for the high levels of phosphorus and yeast this could be why your sinus's are effected so bad? Only good think wolf lake has going for it is that it isn't connected to lake michigan either way this is all sad and disgusting!

Polo..
I could be wrong, but not usually

I get it at Montrose as well as Wolf Lake. The rivers we kite next to in Michigan are a nasty cess pool as well.

The secret seems to be getting the allergens off and out of your body.... rinse, wash etc.

My Sinus' went berzerk after the M session on Monday.
This should be a sticky topic.

Dad walked down over lunch. Said it was flat and blowing. Don't know if it's cross shore or slightly off or not.

Waukegan Friday

Postby Kevin » Fri Apr 30, 2010 3:25 pm

On Google Earth you can measure beach angles. Waukegan at the Southern side where we all set up is like around 180 degrees, further North it is more like 190 or 200 (S to SSW). If you look at the wind today it's hovered around there and often over 200 degrees.

Yesterday the wind was good until around 5 pm (look at the wind graph) when it shifted from like 150 to 190 degrees and got really gusty (most were off the water then), basically a borderline offshore wind. I imagine it's like that today.
