doesn't look like there's going to be enough to kite.. might not be a bad idea to work on kite control if you need to work on that though, but not enough to get up on a board..

Dewsy,
Kite control? What are some things you can do to work on that?

I'm down for Waukegan/Zion on Sunday to at least practice some kite skills.

If you want to feel some real pain, I was in Hatteras last weekend on business and didn't kite once! I was too busy while it was breezy and the wind died out when I was finally free. Ouch!!
Well, Maybe its a hobie cat weekend!

Forecast for Friday looks a little sketchy for miller.
Here's another.
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.ph ... ype=marine
Both windfinder and noaa are predicting some sort of offshore @ miller on friday accompanied by storms. I'd look someplace a little closer to chicago. No place is going to be as friendly for kiting as miller but you will run less of a risk of getting caught up in a off shore breeze. Also, looks light. Ask dewsey if you can borrow his flysurfer.

Gonna need a blimp and a door to get going in 12mph. Still, if it's not stormy and offshore and you wanna hit it..... get photos!

kite control - just some figure 8's have a buddy or bring your girl and have her launch the kite for you.. work on bringing the kite up and then back down to her keeping the kite in good control.. it'll also help you learn to some degree the pull you can expect when landing and launching your kite when it's actually blowin..
