Corona Light "Wide Open" Volleyball chicago kiteboarding
Saturday, July 31 - Sunday, August 1
Featuring the Surfrider Foundation: Chicago Chapter Tent
We are looking for people who want to help out in our tent at the
volleyball chicago kiteboarding...nothing too heavy, just represent for a couple
hours. Join the fun!

kristinroederer@hotmail.com if you are willing and able!
EVENT SCHEDULE
Saturday, July 31
8:00 AM SUP RACE
Race Course: North Ave beach to Oak St beach and back
$10 entry fee to go to Surfrider Foundation: Chicago Chapter
(All ages welcome)
Sign up on site or electronic entry will be available shortly
8:30 Tent/area set-up
Tables, chairs, tables, music, signage, etc
We need 5 volunteers to help set up/support communication
effort in tent for 3 hours
9:00 Volleyball Tourney/Beachfest begins
11:30 - 3 We need 3 volunteers to help out at the tent
3:00 SUP Paddle Out or Race TBD
SUP's will be available on-site throughout the weekend for free
demos/lessons!
Course: North Ave Beach to Fullerton and back
3:00 - 6 We need 6 volunteers to help in tent, support beach
clean-up contest and break down tent
TBD Surfrider Beach Clean-up Contest
(To be conducted by event announcer)
6:00 Event ends
9:00 Post event - Uncle Fatty's Bar (2833 N. Sheffield at Wolfram)
All invited...let's have some fun!!!
Sunday, August 1

Oh god! For some reason I thought it was this last weekend (24th-25th) and I went to the beach and all, but no one was around, plus I didn't see any big volleyball tourney lol. I got back with someone from surfrider and I'll show up this weekend. Anyone else? Maurice?

Oddly enough, so did I. I thought it was yesterday.
It's NEXT weekend!
yeesh! flying 32 hours in 6 days at work, worrying about kiteboarders washed out to sea, etcetc.... has driven me mad!

Hello All,
The upcoming Beach Festival event at North Ave. is right around
the corner! Hopefully you can come out to enjoy the fest and even get on
the water! Our friends from Surftech will have SUP's to try out and
offer complimentary lessons as well.
Also, if you are available, join us at Uncle Fatty's Beach Bar (2833
N Sheffield) for the post event party.
Lastly, we are looking for some volunteers to help out in the tent on
Sunday. Any help would be appreciated! If you are available, please
respond to kristinroederer@hotmail.com.
