Snow cover is good now I put kite up late yesterday but 38 mph gusts caused me to drop it right away will try today there is a nice zone with deep pow deposit actually parts of the fields are exposed to North winds so will give it a gvo today when temps break 10 D shoot me a pm or call if anyone wants to head up here. I would still be scared to do anything on a lake myself.

Area where wind deposited snow in usable depths is really only the size of 2 football fields right now , I guess if you went crazy with hip /knee/elbow/shoulder and head padding you may survive a crash where wheat blades show ,which means 1 inch cover and possible rock s to hit . Anyone know of a safe lake in N IL or S WI area??

Hey nordicnorm,
Got any snow cover left on that there wheat field as of today, January 5th?
I live near Richmond, IL and we got near zero after the great melt that happened two weekends ago.

nordicnorm,
At my place in near the WI / IL state line we've gotten about 6" of snow or so on the last week.
Is your wheat field snowkitable given I'm hoping you've had similar snowfall?

Hey NordicNorm,
Is this field an option this winter - 2011 - once it snows?
Snowkiting the lakes is awesome, but it will be a while before there's enough ice.
