I have been to Bahia Salinas twice. Once in 05 and the other in 06 both during my spring breaks in March. You will not need a big kite. I rode a 7, 9 and 12's there and these were 04 yargas or 05 fuels. On the second trip I could only ride for 3 of 9 days as the wind was to strong, 40 plus. So we went north to Nicaragua surfing for 4 days instead. From what I understand the wind forecasts are always much weaker for that area and that the Arenal spot is a very bad place to ride. Bahia Salinas can be choppy depending on the tide, and the wind gusty, but with the kites today you will be fine. The first year I was there I saw a german guy jumping much to close the beach and get lofted. He then got drug through over 20 huge catus plants. He spent 3 days in the hospital and had over 150 needles in him. Lots of sea life i.e, turltes, string rays, schools of tuna and sea snakes. The beach there is nothing special but there are few really nice ones a short drive away. You will get wind for sure
I'd rather be Rollerblading
