what's the deal with that flat water, is there a sandbar underneath?

the flat water is the result of shallows and weeds. right now that same spot has a mat of weeds on top of the water. Great but short maxed out 14m session with a new board and boots. yeah that was a sloppy attempt at a backroll to revert but sticking it most of the time now.

i'm in the real windy city, wellington, new zealand. check out the stats below. starting to get itchy feet to go somewhere with good conditions, but that won't be happening to later this year/next.
