No your not talking about the same place:
Lake St Beach is at the end of the road in Miller.
Marquette PArk is next door to the east. It's about 1000 yards east of Lake Street / Miller.
Inside the park, served by a one way loop road, there is a bathing pavillion from the 40"'s that looks like Soldier Field...or the PArthenon.
If thats blocked off, the main lot is just before you reach the PArthenon, behind a small stone wall. We usually park at the fat upwind end, toward the PArthenon.... if the PArthenon free parking is closed, then you have to do another loop of the one way road to get back to the main lot.
